Rioja long distressed by outdated winemaking and lack of market share and knowledge has almost made good wine but recently this could be viewed as excellent wine. Old Gran Reserves spending many years in oak to form liquid gold and matched brilliantly to the cuisine of the region. Offering great value for money and ease of drinking tonight we focus on the red wines based on Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha & Mazuelo varieties. We will serve some of our favourites and add a couple of super interesting and older wines too.
In 2007, the Regulating Council of the D.O.Ca. Rioja authorized, for the first time since 1925, the incorporation of some additional varieties within the limits of the denomination, changes that were reflected in two modifications of the existing Regulation approved in 2004.
